Where do you see yourself in 10, 20 or 30 years? If you would have asked this to the 25-year-old Ben, he would have never told you that he would become the CIO of a great supermarket company. Also he would not think that his experience, guiding wild water rafting expeditions in Kathmandu, would teach him very useful skills that he can now reap the benefits of in his role as CIO.  

In this TEDxCo, conversations with the Executive Committee, Ben Wishart takes us on the journey through his life and career path, through some of the choices he made and the impact of those choices. We will get the opportunity to learn more about his role as Chief Information Officer, the IT strategy of Ahold Delhaize. E-commerce, distribution centers, stores and the network we work on at the headquarters, it is all related to a lot of IT programs. How do we keep our valuable data safe and is our company hacked recently end how do we deal with this frightening scenario? 

How do we use the data lakes and find out the usable data for the right case and what are the developments in this evolving and changing world? A very interesting world which is still unknown to a lot of us, despite the fact that we use it every day.
