YAD x MIC Beach CleanUp
Let’s roll up our sleeves and make a positive impact—together!
Young Ahold Delhaize and Make it Count are heading to Zandvoort on the 4th of September together for a beach clean-up in collaboration with Stichting Juttersgeluk, a circular and inclusive initiative turning beach waste into new, sustainable products. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy the fresh sea air, contribute to a cleaner coast, and end the day wih drinks at a beach bar next door. Capacity is limited to 20 people so sign up ASAP!
Event Program:
- Welcome & introduction – approx. 10 minutes
- Talk on the “plastic soup” problem and Juttersgeluk: the urgency of clean beaches and the journey from beach litter to circular products
- Beach clean-up (“jutten”) – approx. 1 hour 15 minutes, supported by the Juttersgeluk event team
- Return & sorting – learning what can be recycled and why keeping plastic off the beach matters
- After the CleanUp: To celebrate our efforts and the positive impact we’ve made, we’ll head next door to a beach club for drinks. A perfect way to relax, enjoy the view, and toast to a cleaner planet!
Location: Start and finish at the jutcontainer at Strandafgang Paulus Loot 9, Zandvoort
When: September 4th, 13:45-18:00
Parking: The most convenient and affordable option is Louis Davids Carré parking garage, about a 5-minute walk from the start point.
Price: Free!
Beach clean-ups are only cancelled in case of a code orange weather warning or thunderstorms—let’s cross our fingers for sunshine!
